Donna Jo's Story
OM gosh!! Can you believe that I saved my 1970 - 1971 Student Body Card for all these years?? That makes that card 38 years old now? Hmmm ... but if you really look hard, sqint your your eyes and put on 250+ glasses, I still look the the same as I did then, and still just as young and beautiful as ever (LOL!! ... votes, please!! Ha!) (Got to get in one good giggle every once in a while!! I'm not quite as shy as I always used to be, praise the Lord for that!!
To go forward with this story, I had the time of my life when high school was over. I traveled a lot and lived in many different states, just for the experience of it. I learned to snow ski (intermediate skiier), water ski, and went camping, hiking, climbing ... almost any thing new and exciting. I felt so closed up and restricted while growing up, I promised myself my life would be anything but the same in my adulthood ... and it was.
Later, after my fun was had and it was time for me to grow and experience what life had in store for me, I went on to college and earned my BA. I was a corporate officer for an international corporation, traveled and moved all over the country. Also, was a long distance commuter on a weekly basis (which, at the time (dur...Expand for more
ing the 1980's, was quite inovative and outstanding for a woman to have made such achievements). After several years and enough of the "corporate" decade, I decided to change professions, went back to college to earn certain certificatons, and now work in the legal field.
I don't thing much about attorneys, and will leave it at that. Read the scriptures in the Bible ... I cannot expound further on what our Lord has to say.
Obviously, I am a devout Christian. John 1:1, 2 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made: without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." Jesus Christ, the Word, is Lord.
I would especially like to hear from my friends in high school, just to say hi and exchange some life experiences. It's all good!
To all of those who do not want to make contact, I wish you would ... lift is a fleeting moment, and I would love to catch up on our respective stories. I haved thought about you all over and over again throughout the years. If not, my love to you all!!
